ICON upper control arms are engineered with built-in caster correction for optimal alignment specifications and confidence inspiring handling. A main benefit of ICON upper control arms is the potential for increased wheel travel when paired with our 2.5 or 3.0 series coilovers, this translates into superior performance and ride quality for your 2007-2021 Toyota Tundra. These upper control arms feature ICON's patented Delta Joint. The Delta Joint is a heavy duty high angle ball joint that combines the durability of a ball joint with the performance characteristics of a traditional uniball. While the industry standard uniball does a great job of allowing the control arms of a vehicle to articulate with little bind, they do have an inherent weakness that leaves more to be desired when used in a daily driven application - exposure to the elements. The Delta Joint features a zinc plated housing providing the first layer of corrosion resistance, while a tough grease seal keeps potentially harmful elements out of the inner workings of the joint. Metal on metal construction and a greasable design increase the longevity of the Delta Joint while at the same time allowing for noise-free operation. Fabtech's Uniball Upper Control Arms provide increased strength to the front suspension by replacing the stock ball joint upper arms that can become worn and eventually fail under aggressive offroad use. These heavy duty upper arms are designed for longevity in rugged offroad conditions. They also feature additional caster compared to stock upper arms for superior on road use with oversized tires. The top quality construction of these arms include .120 in. wall 1.50 in. OD 4130 Chromoly tubing and American made 1 in. FK Stainless PTFE lined Uniballs. The 17-4 Stainless Steel heat treated Uniball pins fit into the factory ball joint tapers without modification to the spindle for easy return to stock feature. Fabtech uses 17-4 Stainless steel for the misalignments that provide proper clearance of the 1 in. Uniballs throughout the travel range. On the frame side of the upper arms, there are quality urethane bushings that help reduce road noise while providing longevity. Fabtech's Uniball Upper Control Arms are an excellent upgrade to stock or lifted suspension systems for drivers that demand the best for their vehicle.
